Meet CEDRIC DIGFURRY!

Named after Hogwarts’ favorite Hufflepuff, this handsome orange-and-white heartthrob nearly had his story end far earlier than it should have. Trapped on LA’s Westside and initially presumed to be just another unsocialized kitten destined for a life outdoors, Cedric was slated for TNR after making it abundantly clear that he had no interest whatsoever in being captured by humans. Given the evidence available at the time, it was a perfectly reasonable conclusion.

It just happened to be wrong.

Because beneath all the hissing, posturing, and tiny orange indignation was a frightened kitten who had simply never been given a reason to trust anyone. Once he discovered that humans occasionally arrive bearing food instead of traps and nets, his entire worldview underwent a rather dramatic rewrite.

Much like his namesake, Cedric is brave, kind-hearted, quietly confident, and almost offensively handsome. Draped in a spectacular coat that would have made the Hufflepuff common room collectively lose its mind, he has since embraced indoor life with the enthusiasm of someone realizing that feather wands, soft blankets, and regular meals are vastly preferable to survival as a career.

Today, this former feral spends his time chasing toys, soliciting affection, and demonstrating just how unreliable first impressions can be. It turns out that what looked like bad behavior was really just fear. And once that fear disappeared, so did the kitten everyone thought they had evaluated.
