Meet LANDON CIPURR!

It feels only fitting that, during Pride Month, we finally introduce the cat responsible for an entire era of questionable decision-making. Named after drag king icon Landon Cider, Landon Cipurr was the first in what has become a parade of more than 100 drag-themed cats, kittens, queens, kings, and assorted gender-bending felines to pass through our rescue. What began as a single clever name somehow escalated into a long-running commitment to puns, sequins, and explaining to confused adopters why their kitten is named after a niche reality competition contestant.

Born on the streets of Long Beach, Landon arrived on December 26, 2024 at a year old carrying the quiet confidence of a cat who had survived perfectly well without anyone’s help. Winning his trust was not a quick process. It took six months before he would reliably accept pets and another six months before he decided he actually wanted them. Suffice it to say, this king was not interested in shortcuts, and every step of his transformation was earned.

Today, however, he has embraced domesticity with remarkable enthusiasm. He greets his foster mom at the door when she comes home from work, then promptly joins her on the sofa for an evening of bad television and quality loafing. Having perfected the art of companionship without neediness, he is always nearby, always happy to see you, and always ready to settle in for whatever nonsense happens to be streaming.

While Landon loves people, he has an especially soft spot for other cats. He adores feline company and is particularly fond of kittens, serving as a patient mentor, babysitter, and occasional referee for the revolving cast of tiny chaos goblins who have passed through his foster home.

After spending most of his life learning that humans could be trusted, Landon is finally ready for a home of his own and will be delivered vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, FIV/FeLV negative, and neutered. After inspiring over a hundred drag-themed cat names, we’d love to see the legend himself finally get his happy ending.
