Meet MANGEL BATISTA!
Rescued from SEAACA, this little white fugitive arrived infested with fleas, covered in mange, and looking like he’d been subjected to an interrogation by someone with a deeply questionable understanding of the Geneva Conventions. Having apparently decided that death was an inconvenience best left to other people, Mangel proceeded to make a spectacular recovery, emerging from his ordeal with an extraordinary appetite for affection, absolutely no respect for personal boundaries, and a coat that remains several shades removed from its original factory specifications.
Named for Detective Angel Batista from Dexter, Mangel shares his namesake’s warmth, loyalty, and almost pathological inability to mind his own business. Unlike most of his colleagues at Miami Metro Homicide, however, he has never encountered a personal boundary he felt obligated to respect.
Aggressively affectionate and gloriously unhinged, Mangel approaches human companionship with the intensity of a detective who has just cracked a serial murder case after six consecutive nights without sleep. He specializes in unsolicited facial grooming, burrowing into his foster mother’s neck, and inserting himself into situations that were proceeding perfectly well without his involvement. His preferred method of interrogation involves licking your face until you confess to loving him, at which point he will continue licking because the investigation is apparently ongoing.
Now healthy, handsome, and ready for his next assignment, Mangel is hoping to trade Miami Metro Homicide for a permanent position in a loving home. Applicants should be comfortable with excessive physical affection, occasional violations of personal space, and the possibility of waking up with a small, furry detective conducting a forensic examination of their face.
Mangel is vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, FIV/FeLV negative, and neutered.
